Think of it as a digital concierge that pulls together hotel services, a clear view of the casino floor, dining information and on-property navigation into one place on your phone.

That position is intentional. We use it to support the way guests move through the resort rather than to replace anything you find on site.

Getting Set Up

Getting started is fairly quick if you already use your phone for travel planning. A typical first-time setup looks like this:

4. When your device asks for permissions, allow location services and notifications.
5. Create a guest profile with your email address and a password you remember.

Our Metcourt hotel operates as a 3-star select-service property with 21 rooms. Using the app to book a room keeps everything in one thread:

2. Set your check-in date - standard check-in starts after 15:00.
3. Choose your check-out date, noting the 11:00 departure time.
4. Look through the room types, with photos and a short amenity list for each.
5. Enter your full name, South African ID or passport number, plus a contact number.
6. Check the total amount displayed in ZAR before you commit.
7. Confirm the booking. A reference is sent to your registered email and often by SMS too.
8. On arrival, present that reference number at the front desk.

Because the hotel is small and operates on a boutique scale, our Fridays, Saturdays and public holiday periods tend to fill quickly. Using the app to plan and lock in a room early is genuinely the easier route, especially if you are coordinating a family trip or travelling with a group.

Dining and What Is On

Inside the app, the “Facilities” section brings together all food and beverage outlets on the property, along with their operating hours, basic menus and a map overlay that shows where each one sits. At the resort we run four main options:

1. Golden Gate Spur - a family restaurant with the familiar Spur menu.
2. Beef Baron Grillhouse - sit-down grill dining for a more focused meal.
3. Munchies - quick-service fast food for when you just want something simple.
4. Coachman’s Saloon - an entertainment bar that hosts live events when scheduled.

For guests visiting with children, the resort map in the app also highlights the amusement centre and childcare facility, so you do not wander around searching. The Coachman’s Saloon section is updated with upcoming events and promotions. If you are hoping to catch a specific show or a particular type of night out, it is worth scanning those details a few days before you arrive.

Getting There and Nearby Attractions

Frontier Inn sits on the route between Johannesburg and several Free State destinations. That makes it a natural pause point on longer trips as well as a base for local exploring. In the app, the “Nearby Attractions” area outlines a couple of key spots within comfortable driving distance of Bethlehem, including Clarens and Golden Gate National Park.
